Canoeing the Colorado River in Nevada

In another BSA I got to go on a great trip to Nevada for a 12 mile canoeing trip starting at Hoover Dam. The trip was two days. we started canoeing a day after we got there on Sunday, Dec. 20 and traveled slowly for about 4 miles and camping out near a hot spring off shore. My twin Nathan started birding just before we left so this was a great opportunity for him to see birds that I hadn’t seen as soon as he would such as Killdeer, Peregrine Falcons (this was actually the first time I saw one), cormorants, herons, and more. This was a great experience in not only the beauty of the canyons we were in but also the birding aspect of it. I have never been birding like that in my entire life and it can really change your perspective on birding.
